About Robert
Robert
I can’t remember the first time I tried to meditate, but it was probably when I was in college and had just read “The Only Dance There Is” by Ram Dass. I very soon learned that meditation is hard to do. I guess you could say that was the first step toward my Enlightenment.
Thirty-some years later, when I was working as Associate Editor of Common Ground magazine, I first heard about Holosync. They were running ads in the magazine that talked about “how to meditate deeper than a zen monk.” I wish I had known then what I know now. If I had done, I wouldn’t have waited so long to get their CD.
It wasn’t until after my Power Trips magazine about pilgrimages to sacred sites ceased publication and I became editor of NewAgeJournal.com that I actually started learning about brain waves and how listening to binaural beats creates the same benefits as doing meditation “the hard way.”
Whether you’re just starting out learning how to meditate, or if you’re like me and you have been agonizing with the process for decades, I hope you will get some benefits from my experience, as well as the on-going news and tips about meditation as I continue to discover it and report it to you.
All the best,
Robert
